New Zone

Configure new Zone

Edit the named.conf.local file to add zone called mi.hdm-stuttgart.de

vim /etc/bind/named.conf.local

Zone Configuration

zone "sdi1.mi.hdm-stuttgart.de" {
 type master;
 file "/etc/bind/db.mi.hdm-stuttgart.de";
};

zone "75.62.141.in-addr.arpa." {
 type master;
 file "/etc/bind/db.141_62_75";
};

Add Zone File

Create db.mi.hdm-stuttgart.de Zone file from template and edit it

cp /etc/bind/db.empty /etc/bind/db.mi.hdm-stuttgart.de

vim /etc/bind/db.mi.hdm-stuttgart.de

Add the following content to this file

Enable IPv4

Edit /etc/default/named and add this content

RESOLVCONF=no

# startup options for the server
OPTIONS="-4 -u bind"

Restart Bind

systemctl restart bind9
